Great information Wendy!! I've been juicing for years, it really is the bomb diggity! Think I am going to invest in the Breville I want...my juicer is sooo old!!! Going to try your recipe!

You are BRILLIANT. I am really starting to understand the whole juicing thing now after reading this. I understand the nutritional benefits, the fact that it will reach your system quicker, etc. HOWEVER, I'm struggling with the 'psychological' part of it as in I would rather 'eat' a crunchy cucumber vs 'drink' one. I LOVE to eat. I am vegetarian not vegan, I like cheese too much. I eat all organic OR try to when it's in season, having moved to Portland recently has allowed me better access to organic now, WHEW. I am walking distance from an awesome market. STILL, I would rather 'eat' thank 'drink'....PLEASE help me, how does one get past 'this' part? I'm no kidding, I really want to try this out.


I am with Rachel. I want to eat the fruit. I can see the benefits and understand what you are saying. I eat a variety of fruits and veggies. I drink water.

Ok, my dream is to start doing this myself. I feel like it'd be time consuming, but hopefully I could work it in between nursing, changing, etc. :) thanks for all the great info, so happy you are blogging!!!!!

I hear ya! The difference is... you can't physically eat as many fruits and vegetables as you can drink as juice. And in juice form they are far more assimilated and digested than eating them. :)

It can be time consuming! But I've learned to wash and prep everything the night before then in the morning all I have to do is juice it. You can juice enough for 2 days at a time! :) The most time consuming part is cleaning the machine and that really depends on what type you get and you get fast at it as time goes by.

Girlllll, I love to eat too, don't get me wrong! But like I told Daniela below... you can not physically eat as much fruits and veggies as you can drink them. It tastes DELISH and you can still nom nom on your have fruits and veggies too. If you have a Whole Foods nearby, they have a juice bar. Try one there and see what you think! Tell them you are new to it and have never had one. Look at the menu and they'll help you decide. Not all flavors and veggies are for everyone. I just happen to love them ALL when I juice. HA! I even put broccoli in mine the last couple days. Now THAT is nom nom nom.
